Colon Cancer (Large Intestine Cancer)

Cancer is the leading cause of today’s deadly diseases. At the beginning of the causes of cancer, there are of course different factors, although we certainly do not feed on unnatural foods. Colon cancer (large intestine cancer),
which is not very common but has a frequency of 2,000 people per 4,000 people, is risky to die as early as every cancer and if early treatment is not observed. This cancer, which is more common in western countries, is seen on equal footing. It is very common in people aged 50 years or older. Colon cancer is the third most common cancer.
The colon is the part of the large intestine that comes after the small intestine. In this section, cancers that are caused by polyps are called colon cancer. This cancer is also divided into two guru but as benign and malignant. It occurs when some cells grow uncontrollably in the large intestine.

Experts have not been able to precisely explain exactly the cause of this cancer, but some internal and external factors have contributed to it. There is also a genetic aspect of this cancer type. For this reason, it is more common for people with this type of cancer in their families and relatives to catch cancer. Some investigations have shown that family members and relatives who have undergone ovarian and breast cancer often have colon cancer. Along with technological advances, intestinal tract analysis and screening are examined in more detail. Along with early diagnosis, mortality rates also decline.
The formation of cancer is often associated with nutrition. Especially the consumption of animal inner oils is triggering this cancer. With the industrial activities, the chemistry is also increasing and it is more likely to occur in people working in industrial areas.

  • Colon Cancer Symptoms

A bulge usually occurs in your stomach and intestinal tract. Not too long, there is a slight pain in the area where the swelling occurs. Your appetite may escape and you may experience sudden weight loss. Fatigue is common, constipation and vice versa can be seen. As a result of these discomforts, you should definitely apply to the specialist. The occurrence of these conditions does not mean your colon cancer, but the diagnosis can not be made immediately. However, as we mentioned earlier, this cancer will be easier to overcome by early diagnosis. If you have these conditions and do not see the specialist, it is normal to see problems such as spreading cancer to the intestine and incapacitation of the end of the bowel. At the advanced level of colon cancer, bowel starts to smell and fecal pelvic becomes even more difficult.

When cancer reaches a higher level, appetite can be completely closed. Fatigue and weight loss are at the forefront. Fading in the color of the patient may be due to the blurred. In some patients, the intestine opens and there may be a discharge of feces. If the intestine is not opened, open surgery should be performed to remove the tumor. It is quite difficult to pick up the tumor at this stage.

In today  s conditions, the diagnosis of colon cancer has become quite easy. Colonoscopy allows the entire intestine to be visualized to the finest detail. If polyp occurs, it is taken and examined. In addition to this method, colon cancer can be diagnosed by video imaging.

The treatment is entirely surgical. The cancerous part is surgically removed. The operation is completed by connecting the upper and lower parts of the receiving part. Drug treatment can be performed after surgery.

If foods with high fibre content are consumed more, the tumor will not reproduce. The fibre is reducing the formation and recurrence of cancer. Food with a high fat content should be consumed very little. In particular, animal inner oils should not be consumed. Red meat is one of the major factors that trigger colon cancer. Even if you do not get caught in this cancer, it will be useful to check at certain intervals. Especially those with colon cancer should be more careful. Especially green tea consumption is preventing this cancer.
